A sefer Torah where the klaf is very puffy and does not roll smoothly is there a way to fix it? I feel that it is more prone for letters to crack since it cannot roll smoothly around the eitz hachayim.

  1. Without seeing the Torah in question it is difficult to tell but one thing that can be useful is to add extra gum arabic into the ink recipe as it is this ingredient that makes the ink more flexible/stretchy and could help it adhere better in the future when it is being rolled.
