There once was a debate in regard to this type of ayin, since there is no break in the slant-right side of the ayin. Does anyone know details about this issue?

  1. Hi R. Moshe,
Look at SEFEKUT HASOFER -#5 on the letter Ayin. There he has a gloss on the issues involved. The main point being is that according to many the AYIN does not require a MOSHAV. Rather the body of the letter descends from the ROSH.

  2. todays poskim seem to be machsir it and are not choshesh that it is chaser eiver. Obviously though it is not geder lechatchillah leksivah or mehudar
